The selection of our fry, is done according to the following specifications table for fish

  • Presence of fish bladder
  • Absense of skeletal or developmental anomalies
  • Presence of gill covers
  • Well formed tail fin
  • Well formed dorsal and side fins

 

The ichthyologist of our unit examines the origin of the fry and requests the history of the fish in order to for them to agree with the wild type and requests the certification for the hygiene of the fry from the fish hatching station, in order to achieve the correct selection of stocks. This is why our unit gets its fry mainly from Greek fish hatcheries.


Some of these are Andromeda, Selonta and the Greek Fish Farming.
